I can’t complain, really. No, I’m not a millionaire, but it’s been a lot of fun getting the book launched. Next weekend brings Rhode Island Comic Con, the full-launch, which I am very excited about. I have a box of books, posters, bookmarks, etc. I’m also going to be bringing some artwork and costume work with me to help increase sales. After that, I’m going to see about doing events at my school and local bookstores to push into the holidays, and then in February is TempleCon!
Busy busy busy, but, I have to be.
The giveaway on Goodreads is drumming up a lot of interest, as well as a listing I now have on the social network Umenow, which can be found here: https://umenow.com/book/of-summer-and-winter
The free Kindle book event I had resulted in 390 copies being given away, and the book was on the FIRST PAGE of free books in the Historical Fiction section on Amazon during most of the run, topping off at the highest at #14 out of 100 top sellers. That was pretty exciting. So much so in fact I got very little work done as I was watching the stats.
So now, we wait and see how things go from here. The next free Kindle book event is this coming Saturday, November 3rd, in honor of Rhode Island Comic Con, so if you didn’t snag a free copy last weekend, you can do it then.
Until then, hunkering down for Hurricane Sandy!
